The Heavy-Duty Apprentice Mechanic role is an integral part of our Horizontal Directional Drilling and Pipeline operations.

Duties will be performed in a shop setting, with the possibility of some field work.

This is a Permanent Position- Full Time Mon-Fri 7:00am-5:00pm (some weekends as required).

Wage – to be discussed depending on any previous mechanical experience and knowledge.



  • Perform general repairs to various Heavy-Duty Truck and trailers, Side boom, Directional Drilling and Pipeline equipment, light plants, etc. and all medium trucks & cars that are in the fleet.
  • Must have a good attitude and the ability to work well with others.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures (including COVID-19 policies)
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain an orderly workspace
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Contribute to a positive, congenial work environment
  • Take direction from Fleet Supervisor as well as the on-duty Journeyman Mechanics
  • Pickups and deliveries when requested, and any other duties as assigned
  • Must fill out and send daily timesheets in a legible and timely manner
  • Must be physically able to lift heavy objects



  • Must have a minimum Class 5 license required with clean driving abstract
  • Must come with basic apprenticeship tools
  • Must already be “registered” for the apprenticeship program
  • **PLEASE NOTE** Must have QR code for the COVID-19 double vaccination prior to an interview and before any start date after January 4, 2022.
