Robert B. Somerville has an excellent track record as a safe workplace.

Somerville’s health, safety and environmental policy, signed by our president, includes the following commitments:

  • Management will ensure all employees receive training on their specific work functions to ensure health, safety and environmental competence.
  • Supervisors will be held accountable for the health and safety of workers under their supervision. In their role, they are responsible for ensuring that machinery and equipment are safe and that employees work in compliance with established safe work and environmental practices and procedures.
  • Workers are responsible for conducting their activities in a manner that follows all company and legislative health, safety and environmental regulations and policies on a daily basis.
