Somerville’s oil and gas pipeline experience stretches back more than 60 years and includes projects across Canada, in the United States, United Kingdom, Africa, and the Caribbean. With this broad expertise, Somerville is able to provide a complete range of services for both mainline and distribution systems, including project planning, above- and below-ground installation, pipe replacement, facilities design and construction, maintenance support and emergency response services.


Somerville installs, tests and commissions new and replacement networks to all current operating standards. Completed projects include oil, gas, liquefied natural gas, nitrogen, jet fuel, steam and large-scale water and waste water assets.

Somerville is able to assume end-to-end project responsibility of distribution projects, including planning and scheduling, locates, fabrication and installation, testing, certifying and commissioning, complete site restoration and updating as-built documentation.

Mainline Construction

Somerville provides a number of specialist capabilities for mainline construction, including:
