On September 30, Robert B. Somerville staff, at all our offices across Canada, paid homage to Orange Shirt Day which is a day to honor the Indigenous survivors as well as those who died in Residential Schools. Somerville’s Manager of Indigenous Community Relations shared some difficult videos with all staff which explained about the tragic legacy of residential schools. The goal was to increase awareness of the journey towards reconciliation which involves the process of truth telling and recognizing past injustices committed against Indigenous Peoples in Canada.
