Thank you to Joan Isaac, Executive Director of Trade Winds to Success and the rest of her amazing team for hosting such an inspiring Open House which included the Red Elk Drummers, a delicious luncheon, and tours of the training facility - including the Tiny Home program. For the past four years, Somerville has been honored to provide scholarships to support this innovative program which opens the door for Indigenous people to receive pre-apprenticeship training and shop experience in the following trades: Boilermaker, Carpenter, Construction Craft Labourer, Electrician, Ironworker, Millwright, Plumber, Steamfitter-Pipefitter and Welder. It was great to be accompanied by fellow Somerville team member Kennedy McCann who also thoroughly enjoyed the event!
