This project was part of the overall Pearson Airport Expansion Project. PCL Aecon Joint Venture was the overall Construction Manager. Robert B. Somerville was subcontracted to Black & McDonald to complete the underground services and pipelines. The project included the installation of 600m of dual 10" insulated Perma Pipe as Hot & Cold Water Pipelines to Heat the new Terminal Buildings at Person International Airport. Also includes the construction of 4 Snow Melt Pits, and installation of 8" PE Natural Gas Pipeline. The hot and chilled water in the pipelines is generated at the Central Utilties Plant (CUP) located off of Elmbank Road
