The purpose of this project is to install new gas services for commercial and residential buildings that have requested to ATCO to have this work done. Dealing mainly with new buildings and houses that have been demolished or are currently under renovations in infill areas of Calgary. Majority of the old gas services have already been demod by ATCO Gas and main form of installation will involve trenching yards with mini excavator or backhoes. Approximately 25 new gas services are scheduled to be completed in 2017, with work continuing after the new year. Somerville is responsible for applying for and tracking permits/locates, completing all below ground work, cleanup and compaction on public City property.
