Automated People Mover Project

The project was part of the Pearson International Airport Expansion Project. The Automated People Mover Project is designed to connect Terminals 1 & 3 with the Reduce Rate Parking Facility. Robert B. Somerville was contracted for the installation of dual 16 Chilled Water and dual 10 Hot Water pipelines, from the West Chamber, to Chamber 6A-02, 6A-01 and into the APM Building Mechanical Room. In addition RBS installed the Power and Communication ductbank infrastructure from Load Module 28 to Load Module 27, including placement of the transformer and switchgear equipment, interconnecting tie-ins and final commissioning of the Hot & Chilled Water System and the Power Supply.
