With the construction of the new "ICE District" in downtown Edmonton which will consist of the Rogers Place and many other new buildings and developments,Somerville was contracted by EPCOR to construct a new system of underground duct banks and manholes to supply adequate power. The project consisted of the installation of over 300m of concrete encased duct banks of various configurations, 2 precast vaults and 4 vista vaults. Communication duct banks and manholes were not included in this contract, but were subsequently awarded to Robert B Somerville under a separate contract of the same timeline.
