Flow Metering Upgrades

Work of this Contract included for of the supply of all materials, labour and equipment required for complete construction of flow metering upgrades at the Silverthorn and North Brampton Pumping Stations. The Silverthorn Pumping Station included the replacement of two existing 1050mm venturi flow meters in existing inlet valve chamber on the Zone 2 feedermain to the Hanlan Pumping Station with clamp-on style ultrasonic flow meters. The installation of a clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter in the existing inlet valve chamber on the 1350mm diameter Zone I inlet feedermain from the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant. The construction of a cast-in-place flow meter chamber and installation of an internal mount ultrasonic flow meter on the 900mm diameter concrete pressure pipe (CPP) Silverthorn feedermain. The replacement of an existing 750mm diameter flanged by plain-end butterfly valve in existing valve chamber 1-30 with new flanged butterfly valve, spool piece and coupling. The installation of a buried gate valve on existing 600mm diameter CPP bypass line. At the North Brampton Pumping Station the work included the construction of a cast-in-place flow meter chamber with 600mm diameter CPP bypass line and installation of an internal mount ultrasonic flow meter on the 900mm diameter inlet feedermain to North Brampton Pumping Station.
