This project requires the replacement of a 600 metre segment of the 12" pipeline under the Credit River in Mississauga, Ontario. This is a preventative measure to mitigate the changing river flow and its impact on the line. This pipeline portion is part of the SPPL line, supplying refined fuel products in the Mississauga and Greater Toronto Area, including a significant portion of product used at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Acritical component of this project is protection of the local environment, including water protection and safe decommissioning.Important to the project's success requires involvement with key stakeholders including: First Nations, City of Mississauga, Hydro One, Credit Valley Conservation Authority, Region of Peel and Sun-Canadian Pipelines. The project involved the successfully completion of drilling via HDD 602 metres of 12" NPS. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August 2019.
