The Island Water Treatment Plant Summerization Retrofit project is a contract awarded to Black & McDonald Limited by the City of Toronto. The project includes various mechanical and electrical upgrades to the plant. Robert B. Somerville was subcontracted to install the gas pipeline interconnecting the Raw Water Pump Building and the Reservoir Access Building. The project included approximately 300 meters of 2" HDPE gas pipeline complete with the associated interconnecting riser and flanged connections at both buildings. Complete testing and commisioning was performed.
