Mainline Track Expansion - Mississauga to Oakville

The project was part of the Rail Improvement Program, a billion dollar expansion plan funded through the Canada Strategic Infrastructure Fund. This project is one of twelve in the program. Robert B. Somerville role in the project is for relocation of existing utilities including, natural gas pipelines, water and sewage pipeline, telephone and fibre optic infrastructure, ductbank, conduit and manholes for electrical and signalization infrastructure. The project involves many of the innovative competencies of Robert B. Somerville; including directional drilling, hydro excavation. It brings together under one source the ability to relocate all utilities.
