This project is located in Rainy River, Ontario, where a 25MW solar farm was constructed. Somerville was contracted to install 13,440 screw piles along with HDPE ad-freeze protectionon each pile. The dimensions of the piles were 5.5 inches in diameter, with a 30 inch helix, approximately 20 feet long. The piles were installed in the summer and fall of 2014, in silty clay conditions.
