Somerville was awarded the contract to relocate a Bell Canada structure that was located on the Renforth Drive bridge over Hwy 401. The majority of the project involved crossing the 401 drilling under 20 lanes of traffic plus on and off ramps through shale bedrock 10m below the highway. Crossing length of 315m with a final ream size of 20" and the install of 8- 4" (100mm) HDPE DR13.5 Poly Pipe. Settlement monitoring was used with no issues and a successful install of 8-4" pipes.
