River Street District Energy Piping

The West Don Lands is an initiative of Waterfront Toronto. It is a master planned community that was originally planned to be built over a 10 to 15 year time frame. That has been dramatically accelerated with the award of the 2015 PanAm Games coming to Toronto. The PanAm 2015 games require the construction of an Athletes Village capable of housing 10,000 people. As part of the effort to build the Athletes village, Robert B. Somerville was contracted to install the hot and chilled water piping along the future River Street extension. The piping was installed in coordination with the other underground utilities being completed by Clearway including water and sewer. This is a small phase of the entire project.
