Waupisoo Pipeline - Spread B

The Waupisoo Project in total consisted of approximately 450km of NPS30" oil pipeline coming from Conklin, Alberta to the Scotford Refinery in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. This winter Spread B project constructed 96km of the total in the Boreal forest of Northern Alberta. The ROW was newly constructed through heavy grade areas as well as up to 20km of muskeg/swamp areas. Four major watercourse crossings were completed utilizing techniques such as conventional boring, horizontal directional drilling and an open cut method with cast-in-place concrete coating. Pile foundations were also driven for the installation of 3 block valves/check valves complete with remote pig and pressure signals. The contract also included hydrostatic testing and caliper pigging of the same pipeline. The project was completed with our Joint Venture partner Techint E&C
